ZendCon 2014 Announces Call for Papers

The ZendCon conference has officially announced the opening of their Call for Papers for this year's event:

We’re pleased to announce the 10th annual ZendCon which will be held October 27-30th, 2014 in Santa Clara, CA. ZendCon 2014 has a long history of being one of the “must attend” PHP conferences as community members from around the world have come together to learn and share information about the latest trends and technologies in professional PHP development. [...] We would welcome submission of any talk included in the wide variety of topics related to PHP and tools commonly used by PHP developers.

The topics they're focusing on this year include PHP best practices, continuous delivery and application architecture. The event is happening October 27th through the 30th in Santa Clara, California. The deadline for the Call for Papers is June 16th, 2014 so submit those ideas early and often. You can find more information about the conference on their main site.

ZendCon 2011 Call for Papers Opens!

As was mentioned by Kevin Schroeder, the Call for Papers for this year's Zend/PHP Conference has officially been announced!

We are happy to announce that planning is underway for the 2011 Zend/PHP Conference which will be held in Santa Clara, October 17-20. ZendCon 2011 will be the best conference yet and we would like to invite you to be a part of it! A conference is only as good as its speakers and we are looking for the best speakers to share their knowledge and expertise with the PHP community. Attendees will include developers, architects, development managers, decision makers, core PHP developers and community members.

The key themes they're looking for this year are cloud computing, mobile and user experience and enterprise/professional PHP topics. Within those themes there's several other sub-categories including:

  • Architecture & Best Practices
  • Zend Framework 1&2
  • Rich Internet Apps and Mobile/Tablet - Flash /Flex/HTML 5/CSS3/Ajax
  • Standards Compliance
  • Real World Case Studies, Designs and Data Models

The Call for Papers will close on May 20th, 2011 and speakers will be given a hotel night for each of their sessions that are accepted. Submit your ideas at www.zendcon.com/input to see if you'll be selected!

ZendCon 2010 Call for Papers Open!

As is mentioned on php|architect's site today, the call for papers for this year's ZendCon is officially open.

Jayson Minard, ZendCon 2010 Conference Chair, sent the news to ZendCon veterans just yesterday, but that doesn’t mean that the rest of us who haven’t presented at this PHP conference can’t join the fun! [...] Minard mentions a number of topics for which they’re looking for proposals, including PHP development and best practices; working with SQL databases, search engines and alternative data stores; UI, AJAX and Rich Internet Applications; agile processes and project management; and real-world case studies, designs and data models—among other areas.

If you want to get your proposal in, you'll need to get it in quick - the Call for Papers ends on May 6th, 2010. This year's ZendCon conference will run from November 1st through 4th in Santa Clara, California.

    As posted on the Zend Developer Zone today, Zend has issued their Call for Papers for this year's Zend/PHP Conference and Expo happening this September at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

    Zend invites submissions to the Zend/PHP Conference and Expo, ZendCon08, which will be held September 15-18 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. ZendCon is the largest gathering of the PHP community and is the one time a year to mingle with the core developers, business leaders, and prominent members of the PHP community.

    This year's conference program will include competitively selected presentations, tutorials, and invited speakers. All sessions undergo a peer review process by the ZendCon Content Review team.

    There's a few different tracks this year including "The Basics of PHP", "Performance and Scalability", "Zend Framework" and several vendor presentations. You can find out more about the requirements and where to send your presentation on this page on the ZendCon 2008 website. The deadline for submissions is midnight on April 30th, 2008 so you better get busy preparing and sending it in!
