Would you like to touch the lives of millions of people, while working in a technically challenging environment? We are looking for a motivated Senior Engineer/Architect to join the Yahoo! Search engineering team. In this position you will use your strong technical background to design and develop the next generation frontend platform for Yahoo! Search. This platform will provide a flexible and scalable base for building new and cool products for search.yahoo.com and its associated verticals.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS is Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of industry experience in large scale web application development
• Expert level knowledge in PHP
• Experience with Apache, HTTP, Perl, XML, C/C++
• Knowledge of AJAX/JS, HTML/DHTML, CSS and other client-side technologies is a strong plus
• Development experience on UNIX platforms
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Fast learner and team player
