DC PHP Conference Reminder (Nov 7th-9th, 2007)

Both Chris Shiflett and Eli White has posted reminders/comments about the upcoming DC PHP Conference happening November 7th through the 9th in Washington, D.C..

Eli mentions the talk he will be giving ("my stock 'High Performance' talk") and Chris points out the two talks being given by other OmniTIers - Paul Jones on framework and application benchmarking and Nate with a look at CakePHP

Registration for the conference is still open so you can still get in on this great three day event with sessions on topics like API design, MySQL security, lots of Facebook talk and where PHP fits in with today's politics.

DC PHP Conference 2007 Session Schedule Posted

As mentioned by Elizabeth Naramore on the php|architect website today, the session schedule has been posted for this year's DC PHP Conference happening November 7th and 8th in Washington, D.C.

The DCPHP 2007 Conference schedule has been posted and includes sessions covering security, frameworks, enterprise, flex, ajax, and database performance. The conference is being held at The George Washington University Cafritz Conference Center in Washington DC, November 7-9.

The sessions this year include:

  • Mike Potter - Designing PHP-Based RIAs for Richer Internet Experiences
  • Damien Seguy - PHP/MySQL Architectures
  • Fabien Potencier - Simplify Your Professional Web Development with Symfony
  • Edward Finkler - Securing the PHP Environment with PhpSecInfo and Zend Environment Security
  • James Prather - Today's Politics: Where Does PHP Fit In?

You can still get in on the Early Bird pricing for the conference - $375 for the sessions, $200 for a One Day Pass and $100 for a Student Pass. Check out the conference's main website for more details.

DC PHP Conference 2007 - Call for Papers

From an announcement on the main PHP.net website today, the official call for papers for this year's DC PHP Conference 2007 has been announced.

Join us at the 2nd Annual DC PHP Conference. Technology experts are invited to participate in the East Coast's premiere forum for PHP's vast number of users. Present your technical concepts, cutting edge applications, or business applications for an opportunity to showcase your ideas in the PHP community.

The abstracts for your talk need to be submitted on or before July 22nd to be considered for inclusion in the conference. Those to be included in the schedule for this year's conference will be notified by August 15th, 2007.
