The PHP Rountable podcast, hosted by Sammy Kaye Powers has published their latest episode - Episode #41: The PHP-FIG: Past, Present & Future.

The PHP-FIG has really helped the PHP community get onboard the collaboration train with really great standards like the PSR-4 autoloading standard and the PSR-7 HTTP message interfaces.

We discuss PSR-0 through PSR-13 and the process they go through to become standards. We also discuss where the FIG came from and the possible big changes coming to the organization soon.

This week we are very lucky to have Beau Simensen on the show to discuss all things Stack, Sculpin and podcasting. [...] We touch upon how Beau got into programming, and his progression through Perl to PHP. We then move on to how Stack and Sculpin came to being, and the problems they are each trying to solve. Finally we talk about an upcoming Symfony Live event in London that he will be presenting at (on Stack), and Edd will be attending.

The latest episode of the "Lately in PHP" podcast from PHPClasses.org has been released - Episode #41, "What Happened in the Security Attack to PHP.net?" (Disclaimer: I was a part of this episode.)

As you may be aware, the PHP.net site was the target of security attack that made it spread malware for a while. The circumstances of this attack were the main topic of discussion between Manuel Lemos, Jim Malico of OWASP and Chris Cornutt of PHPDeveloper.org. They also commented on the latest efforts to make PHP more secure, as well what PHP developers can do to develop more secure Web sites and applications, and minimizing the damages of eventual security attacks.
