php|works/PyWorks 2008 Conference Schedule Posted

The folks over at php|architect have officially released the schedule for their upcoming php|works/PyWorks conference happening November 12th through 14th in Atlanta, GA.

Since this year's conference is a combo with PyWorks (Python topics), you'll find presentations on both sides of the fence (as well as general web development topics).

PHP talks include:

  • Caching for Cash
  • Get Soaked: Streams, an In-Depth Look
  • The CodeIgniter Framework
  • Enterprise PHP

And Python topics like:

  • Building Web Applications with Grok
  • URL Mapping with Routes
  • IronPython: Python on .NET and in your Browser
  • Desktop Applications with Python and Dabo

php|works/PyWorks 2008 Pricing Announced

The php|architect folks have announced the pricing for their php|works/PyWorks conference coming in November.

Attendance pricing for php|works and PyWorks consists of a single price for the main conference (which is held on November 13 and 14) and an optional additional fee for the tutorial day (November 12). Note that you do not need to sign up for the tutorial day if you only want to attend the main conference.

A normal attendance package will cost around $600 CAD with the pricing dropping down to $500 CAD for academic and government attendees. If you just want to attend the tutorials, it'll only cost you about $250 CAD. Check out the signup page more more information on which group you could qualify for.

php|architect has officially announced their next conference happening in Atlanta in November - php|works 08:

With over 30 talks and 5 tutorials, php|works is a great opportunity to learn from the best experts in PHP world-and to meet and network with fellow PHP enthusiasts from every walk of life.

There's a special sister conference going on at the same time for those focused on the Python language - PyWorks. The events will be happening November 12th through the 14th with the Call for Papers starting July 25th. You can get more information (like location, travel info, etc) as the full sites are launched at phpworks.mtacon.com and pyworks.mtacon.com.

The php|architect folks have released a pre-announcement about this year's php|works conference:

Many of our readers and conference attendees have been asking about php|works 2008 so they can block it off on their calendars and make other fall plans accordingly. This year, we will be returning to Atlanta, Georgia (USA), November 12-14, 2008.

Their Call for Papers for the conference will be coming out later on this week (the week of June 15th), so if you're looking for a venue to share your PHP knowledge, keep an eye out (and we'll announce it here too).
