We all know that SunshinePHP is one of the PHP communities finest conferences. It attends an amazing group of people, wonderful speakers and Rasmus usually pops in for a drive-by-keynote. Every conference Phil or Ben attend has some vague promise of “yeah we’ll probably try and do a recording there or something,” but this SunshinePHP we actually did it, all thanks to the wonderful Sammy K off of PHP Roundtable.

In this weeks show we are discussing all things SPL (Standard PHP Library), used to solve commonly found problems in an OO-PHP manner. After a brief tangent on what each cast member uses for placeholder text/images, we touch upon the key reasons for SPL's development. Following this we highlight a few of the many data-structures (fixed-array, doubly linked-list) and interfaces (countable) available to you. Finally, we wrap up the show with the regular quiz, which you've probably guessed it, is topically about the Standard PHP Library.

The /Dev/Hell podcast has released their latest two episodes, one in the usual format recorded prior to the True North PHP conference - Episode 37: Jets vs Sharks - and the other following, Dark Secret Branding.

In episode 37 they talk with Paul Jones of the Solar/Aura projects about "lots of stuff about confusing things like dependency injection and human behavior in tribes".

In the second of the two episodes they talk with Jonathan Snook about Twitter application development, Jonathan's past and more.
