Cal Evans' Blog:
My First Mashup Slides and Code
March 06, 2007 @ 15:08:04

Attendees at this year's PHP UK Conference were able to listen to Cal Evans' talk about mashups in PHP - now everyone can check out his slides:

Ok after procrastinating a week, I've finally gotten around to posting my slides and sample code for my presentation at PHPUK, "My First Mashup".

He has the file offered in both a zip format and in a tarball.

IBM deveoperWorks:
UK PHP Conference 2007
March 05, 2007 @ 09:55:00

Those that didn't get a chance to go to this year's UK PHP Conference but wanted to should definitely check out this great post by Caroline Maynard about all the goings on there.

Last week I attended the second UK PHP Conference in London. The organisers had clearly listened to the comments after the first conference, and this year's event was even better. It's the only event of its kind in the UK, and deservedly popular, with a large lecture theatre completely packed.

She talks about some of the talks that were given (including one from Cal Evans of the Zend Developer Zone and Rasmus Lerdorf giving a talk on "Fast and Rich Web Applications with PHP 5"). Check out the full post for the full story on the rest of the event.

Rob Allen's Blog:
PHP UK Conference 2007
February 26, 2007 @ 09:04:00

Those that didn't get a chance to check out this year's PHP UK Conference can get a little taste of what it was like from Rob Allen's perspective in his latest blog post today.

Included in the happenings he mentions were the talk that Cal Evans of the Zend Developer Zone gave on mashups, Kevin Henney's look at Object Orientation, and Rasmus Lerdorf's look at PHP5 performance/security. He also mentions meeting up with Dagfinn Reiersol (author of PHP in Action) to "talk shop" a bit about writing books.

You can check out all of the details about the conference that was over on their website including summaries of the talks that were given during this jam-packed one day event.
