Ben Ramsey:
Día de Muertos - Remembering PHP Community Members Who Have Died
Nov 02, 2015 @ 15:47:17

Ben Ramsey took the opportunity in a recent post to his site to look back over this past year and mention the people we've lost in the PHP community, either due to illness or tragic accidents.

I’m fascinated by the Mexican traditions observed on Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead. It’s a time for celebrating and remembering friends and family who have died. This year, we have lost a few members of the PHP community, and on this Day of the Dead, I wanted to take a moment to remember some of the PHP community members who have died over the past few years.

He briefly talks about seven people that passed away over the last year:

  • Richard “Cyberlot” Thomas
  • Nick Jones
  • Jeff Surgeson
  • Richard Lynch
  • Jefferson McCree Jones
  • Mike Dugan
  • Alex King

For each he lists what kinds of projects they were involved with and, for some, links to those groups or projects they were a part of.
