PHPCamp 2010 – My view
Jan 27, 2010 @ 18:40:06

In a recent post to the SaniSoft blog Aditya Mooley shares some experiences from this year's PHP Camp in Pune, India (back on January 9th, 2010).

Scheduled in October 2009 initially, it was postponed due Swine Flu. Nearly 2000 including PHP professionals, newbie and students registered for the event. The numbers were really overwhelming for the (un)conference entering only its second year. This year I got a chance to attend the event and deliver talks on what SANIsoft is best known for – CakePHP and writing secure PHP apps.

Aditya talks about the venue - good except for a few issues with the size of some rooms - and a well coordinated setup for signing up for the unconference slots. He gave his talk on CakePHP but there was a wide range of other technologies represented including Silverlight, Microsoft's developer tools and Flex.

Dec 23, 2009 @ 16:55:13

In this recent post to her blog Savita Soni gives you a quick look into what PHPCamp is and what you can look forward to in the 2010 edition.

PHP Camp 2010 a most awaited event in Indian php community for 09, but because of swine flue it was postponed and now its going to held on 9th Jan 2010. What is actually PHPCamp? I was also having this question last year before I actually attended.

She talks about the last event (back in September 2008) where, despite poor weather, over 700 people showed up for the day long conference. You can find out more about the proposed sessions here or you can go ahead and reserve your spot for this year's event.
