Larvel News:
Laravel Podcast (Host and Format Change)
Mar 18, 2015 @ 14:21:02

As is mentioned in this new post to the Laravel News site, the Laravel Podcast has a new format and host:

Matt Stauffer has taken the reins and is the host and Shawn has switched to a new podcast outside of just Laravel. The podcast is also moving to a shorter format, 20 minutes and is scheduled for every other week. With the shorter format, it forces the discussion to move quicker and is much easier to consume. For me at least.

The first episode with Matt at the helm talks about the recently released Envyoer deployment tool and the latest version of Laravel (v5). You can listen to this latest episode either through the in-page audio player or by downloading the mp3.

Three Devs and a Maybe Podcast:
EmberJS with Lamin Sanneh
May 09, 2014 @ 15:55:44

The Three Devs & a Maybe podcast has released the latest episode of their podcast - episode #23, EmberJS with Lamin Sanneh. While the main subject matter talks about Javascript frameworks (and EmberJS in particular), there is still some PHP-related content later down the line.

This episode we are lucky to have special-guest Lamin Sanneh on the show to discuss all things EmberJS. Looking at the current JavaScript framework landscape, we move on to highlight what makes EmberJS stand-out from the crowd. Finally, we have an ad-hoc quiz which helps highlight PHP function aliases and JavaScript's 'this' context binding.

PHP topics included portable UTF-8 and the join function. You can check out this latest episode either through the in-page player or by downloading the mp3 directly.
