Zend Developer Zone:
DrupalCon DC 2009 Wrap Up
March 11, 2009 @ 08:44:09

Eli White (Editor-in-Chief of the Zend Developer Zone) recently attended this year's DrupalCon in Washington and has posted a summary of his experiences there.

I attended DrupalCon DC 2009 as a member of the press, in order to report on it (this blog post), but also so that I could get a general feel for the Drupal community & their own style/take on a conference. [...] I'm extremely impressed with the Drupal Community, and the conference blew me away.

He talks about positives - the low price of attendance and the audience that the conference appealed to - and some presentations that were made on topics like jQuery, what's new in web development, the morality of Drupal and online identities. Check out the full report for a more in-depth look.

January 23, 2009 @ 09:32:47

Those in the Washington, D.C. area will be happy to know that there two PHP-related (and CMS-related) conferences coming your way - DrupalConDC and WordCamp Mid-Atlantic. Keith Casey takes a look at them both in a new post:

I've already mentioned the fun that will be php|tek 2009 in this space but there's so much going on between now and then... right here in Washington, DC!

DrupalConDC is happening in March and will have talks on topics including jQuery to Enterprise Drupal setups. WordCamp Mid-Atlantic will be May 16th and is happening at the University of Baltimore.
