Atlanta PHP Users Group:
April 2006 Meeting - 6th @ 7pm
Apr 06, 2006 @ 12:14:52

The Atlanta PHP Users Group has a post today with the details of their latest meeting - tonight (April 6th) at 7pm in Tucker, Georgia.

For nearly a month, the Zend Framework has been the great talk of the PHP community. Just one day following Atlanta PHP's March meeting, the Zend Framework preview release was announced, and folks have been eager to download, play with it, and provide their feedback. At our April meeting, Ben Ramsey will take the Zend Framework for a test drive, outlining its current state, the direction it's heading, and rounding out the presentation with a quick tutorial on using the framework (code samples included).

The meeting will take place in the usual place and will start with a "tips & tricks" section and a more social time at the Mellow Mushroom following.

Utah PHP Users Group - February Meeting, 02.16.06 @ 7pm
Feb 16, 2006 @ 12:37:15

For the February 2006 meeting, they Utah PHP Users Group will be talking about Apache 404 handler scripts created in PHP.

Mac Newbold will present on PHP 404 handler scripts. Running PHP with Apache has some definite advantages. One that I use frequently is using a PHP script as the 404 document that apache uses when a page can't be found. You can use it for many things. PHP.net uses it to run a site search, to try and find the page you were looking for. You can use it to create "virtual" URLs, where one script handles requests for many different URLs and hands back dynamic content based on the page name. You can even combine it with things like GD to make dynamic images that are created on the fly for each URL.

The meeting is happening on the 16th at 7pm MST at the Linux Networx offices. You can RSVP and get a map to the location from their site...

1st Tampa Bay PHP User Group Meeting!
Feb 03, 2006 @ 12:43:41

Davey Shafik has this new post today with information about the first Tampa Bay area PHP User Group meeting.

To everybody in the Tampa Bay Area, the Tampa Bay PHP User Group is having its first meeting in just under two weeks.

Brian Fertig whom I have never met, but in our brief e-mails this week seems like a pretty cool guy has gone to the effort of getting things set up for us.

The meeting is going to be held February 17th at 7pm at a Golden Corral there in Tampa. If you'd like to attend, you can RSVP on the Meetup page (so they know how much space to reserve) as well as get more information about the location...

December Meeting - 1st @ 7pm
Nov 30, 2005 @ 13:19:51

On the Atlanta PHP Users Group website today, there's a reminder about their December meeting posted today.

The December meeting sees the return of James Logsdon as a speaker. He will be speaking on object-oriented programming in PHP, and seasoned programmer and "newbie" alike should benefit from this discussion. The meeting will take place at the usual location at New Horizons Learning Center in Tucker, GA, and those who wish to grab pizza and drinks afterwards are encouraged to make their way to the Mellow Mushroom following the meeting.

The topic for this meeting is "OOP in PHP" - a look at all things object-oriented in the land of PHP. The meeting is December 1st at 7pm in Tucker, Georgia and will be held at New Horizions (as usual). For complete information on the meetup, check out their site...
