The CodeWalkers Zeev Interview
Sep 30, 2002 @ 13:03:11

If you'll remember a little while back, CodeWalkers.com offered a place where you could come and pose questions to one of PHP's most high-profile spokesmen, Zeev Suraski, one of the founders of Zend. Well, this morning, we have our answers.

There are ten questions, picked from the ones posted as the ones to ask, with his answers below them. There are several questions that are quite "high-level" things to ask, such as "What do you have in plan for the PHP in the Enterprise level?" or What about adding threading support into PHP (maybe only on a script level, not for functions or classes)?". Then, there's normal things that every PHP user wants to know like "When you were creating PHP, did you ever imagine that it would become so popular?" or "Zeev, what tips do you have for a beginner using PHP?".

This interview is an interesting read, if nothing more than the fact that the questions are ones posed by readers, and not by an interviewer. I just wish that there were a few more included in the bunch, maybe with something more about the upcoming release of PHP5...
