From one of our "sister" PHPDN sites this morning comes a review of the new O'Reilly PHP book - Programming PHP from PHPClasses.org.
This book was waited on for a good while, with the PHP community wanting an O'Reilly to call their own. This review gives you a brief (very brief) overview of what the book covers and how well it was written. It looks like a good starting point for someone just getting into PHP, and, hopefully, the first in a series of PHP books that Oo'Reilly will put out for the PHP community.
There's also some advanced stuff in the back, covering things like output buffering, compression, and error handling in your PHP scripts (definitely not beginner level stuff...)
