Word? Excel? Access? No Problem:
BadBlue and PHP
Sep 04, 2002 @ 12:52:51

Now, normally, I save the product announcements for the Products page and let anyone interested head over there to check them out, but this is a really cool feature that I think some people out there could probably really use.

For a while now, the BadBlue web server has been in development, becoming one of the more standard Windows web servers that supports PHP (other than Apache, of course). Well, they've just upped things a notch with their latest entry in the PHP module area - a module that allows you to read Word docs (along with Excel and Access files) into your PHP variables in a single function call. The ShareOffice library comes with all PHP source-code and can retrieve files on your local or remote PCs running BadBlue.

It's completely free to try, and comes with their Free Personal Edition as well as their other product offerings. They have functions like SOExcel, SOAccess, and SOWord, and even SOHTTPGet that allows you to get a document/web page from a remote source.
