For anyone out there looking to buy a good book on using PHP and XML together, there's tons of options - how do you know which one is the right one to choose? Well, the folks over at WebReference aim to help you out.

They have a few sample chapters from the Wrox book "Professional PHP4 XML" - the first Wrox edition to cover PHP and XML together. They have a few other PHP-oriented books, including Beginning PHP4 and Professional PHP4 Programming.

The sample text that they offer is currently from Chapter 10, "Putting it together". This covers several things, including "how to abstract different XML processing problems" and "how to modify XML using DOM/SAX/XSLT". I think I might need to go out and get this one after reading these chapters. Wrox hasn't let me down yet with one of their "big red books".
