For those out there that are looking for a challenge and want to stretch PHP to the limits, then the CodeWalkers PHP Coding Contest is for you. They post a new contest bi-weekly that's always different and always challenging.

This weeks challenge: creating a PHP script that, given a text file of five "decks of cards" (shuffled), will play poker against itself. It doesn't have to play two hands, though - the points are scored by the hand that the computer receives (pair, flush, full house, etc.) The winner will be the person that receives the best score overall after five runs. There are some restrictions and all, so visit the website for more information.

I love these challenges, and, if I had the time to get into them correctly, I'd love to work on them. These are a great way to flex those PHP muscles and show the world what you can do.
