Well, we're coming up on our two year anniversarary (this Wed. the 14th) and things have some a long way from where we started from. When I started this site, I was still back in school and had no idea what I wanted to do with it or even who my audience was. Now, I have "loyal readers" that I get emails from when I don't post news, and people that actually consider this site somewhat of an "official resource" to the PHP community. This is a little scary, but pretty exciting.

I love that all of you out there have given me the hope and support that I've needed to continue in this effort. That's why I do it, after all - for all of you out there. I pay for it out of my own pocket, and have been for the two years that this site has been up. And, if you want to see something scary, take a visit over to the Archive.org pages for PHPDeveloper.org sometime. You can see the evolution of our site from a smaller, almost no-hit page to the rather community you see before you now. (It's also funny to go back and read some of the older news posts in those pages...I still have them all archived in a database too - going back to the beginning.)

So, join us as later this week, we celebrate not only the 2nd anniversarary of PHPDeveloper.org (man, two years is a long time), but also my 25th birthday (woo!) on August the 14th.
