One of the things that people love about PHP is the inherent speed that's already built into the code. You write a script (usually, quickly, might I add) and then execute it, only to be pleasntly surprised at how well and quickly it works. That's one comment that I hear over and over again from people - they're amazed at how fast this language is.
Well, it's about to get even faster...The PHP Accelerator team has removed the activation key requirement on their software. They originally had the key in there as a means for telling how popular their software was and how much interest there was in it, but now, in their own words:
However as PHPA has matured, they have served their purpose and all releases from 1.3.2 onwards will be 'activation key free'.
This is great news for those out there that struggled with the activation key on your install, and just makes it that much easier to use the PHP acceleration software that Yahoo.com uses on their site. So, if you haven't given the PHP Accelerator a shot on your scripts, and there's one you just can't seem to speed up - give it a try! It's free!
