EditWorks Professional.PHP from DevArticles

One of the things that I constantly get emails from people about is the CMS that runs this site. They wonder if it's some package they can download or if it's more of a home grown. Well, it is homegrown, but there's tons of CMS systems out there to help you get started. One of them is EditWorks Professional.PHP, and DevArticles has a new piece on this very topic. In Creating A News Site With PHP And EditWorks Professional.PHP, the author introduces you to this software (that is made by the DevArticles team that works on a few content-driven sites, so at least you know it's not just bloatware) and shows you how to get it all set up and running so that you can have your CMS working in less than an hour. They even have that special box for IE like Hotmail uses when you compose an email (that is pretty cool really).

Unfortunately, this all comes at a price. The EditWorks Professional.PHP is $39.95 per licence which doesn't make it the most expensive kid on the block, but still more than some people are willing to pay in this day and age (esp. with sites like Freshmeat.net out there).
