PHPEd 3.0 Review, Zend, Gate Switch, and Lerdorf
Jul 03, 2002 @ 12:07:21

A tad old, but a story, nevertheless, is this review of PHPEd 3.0 from Builder.com. It breifly covers what is new about the editor, as well as some of what is supports. Interesting to note is the editor works on both Windows and Linux, and it has CVS support. The rest of the review is here.

Following that, anothe big editor out their is the Zend Studio. It cost's money (but PHPEd does as well), but Zend is version 2.0.1 for free for non-commercial use. It's pretty nice, and you can try the Editor out at some level. You also can use it if you can't afford the whole package. Go to Zend to get more details.

Also, just for fun, if you have seen those Apple "Switcher" commercials, where the people talk about how they switched, well, wouldn't it be fun to see Bill Gates do it? Well, thanks to the power of Flash, you can! Check it out! It's pretty funny, and short and sweet.

And Rasmus speaks out on the TCPA! "The whole TCPA/Palladium outlook is rather bleak and depressing to me. Makes me want to go out and buy a Krispy Kreme franchise instead of spending all my time sitting in front of computers...But, instead of making donuts or moving to Utah, we could take a positive look at this. It may just be the final straw required for a lot of people to abandon the Wintel monopoly." Check out his Weblog on O'Reilly.
