Design Sources, Newbie Tricks, and Site News

For those out there that are, shall we say, "graphically challenged" and need as much help as they can get making a web page look nice - SitePoint has an article for you. Dr. Design's Definitive Design Links List gives you all sorts of resources that you can use to create that website of your dreams. And, of course, what lisitng of resources wouldn't be complete without a rather large list of tips and tutorials sites to help you with those unwieldy imaging programs. Also, to go along with this article, there's another one that talks about Photoshop Shortcuts at a Glance. It's Windows-centric (no Option keys here, Mac users), but if you know your stuff, you can translate it easily. This one really does give some good tips for those just starting out with Photoshop (and those that have been using it casually for a long time as well...).

A neat little feature that was added over on PHPComplete.com for those that have the weblogs over there - there are instructions on how to add a registry key to your system that allows you to post items striaght into your PHPComplete.com weblog. It's a neat idea, and I might have to abuse it someday to help me gather some of the news that I do for this place...

Also, just so you people don't get all antsy and worry that you'll loose track of things while I'm gone this next week, I have a few people lined up with admin accounts to help me out and post news this next week. They might not be exactly what you're used to, but it'll probably be a welcome change from me droning on every morning. So, I will be gone through Saturday and as far away from a computer as I can get...Have a great week!
