For those wondering how to get the latest and greatest from some of the PHPDN sites (including the forums), check out this service at KlipFarm.com. It's a news ticket of sorts and they work off of an existing XML-based file (RDF/RSS/XML/etc.) and provide a "streaming content" to your desktop. Their client is nice and unobtrusive and can even be made transparent on your desktop. Unfortunately, it's only for Win* right now, but I'm sure that would change with enough support.

There's all sorts of other Kilps to check out as well. I'd suggest you at least give this service a try and see what you think...while it's nothing revolutionary, I think it's pretty cool.
