PHP for Netware, ZendSummary, and MySQL
May 28, 2002 @ 11:26:21

To start things off right this morning, there's an announcement over on the main PHP page about the latest package release - PHP for Netware systems. The version is a little bit behind (4.0.8 development), but still quite recient. The download is avalible from the Netware Developer Kit website.

And, what week would be complete without a PHP Weekly Summary from Zend. There's a few neat things mentioned in this one, including: some possible "web services" extensions (like XML-RPC, SOAP, and XPATH), a script that allows one to compile their PHP installation on Windows, and a brief mention of PHP 4.2.1.

And, for all of you MySQL fans out there, there's a piece over on Builder.com that's pretty much an intro to MySQL. No, there's not any good tech tips in this one, but it might be nice to show to the boss if you're trying to get them away from a less stable database solution. It talks about major sites using MySQL and what some of the different "types" of MySQL are.
