The Zend Developer Zone has announced the release of the latest Beta for the Zend Core for i5/OS - version 2.0:

The Beta version of the Zend Core 2.0 for i5/OS is released. The Zend Network has been updated with the Beta version of the new product.

Features of the Zend Core include a PHP Toolkit for i5/OS, PHP class library containing all Toolkit functions, and an Improved installer. Check out Zend's product page for the Zend Core for more information as well as the Release notes to see more of what was updated.
