First off today, we have two new things from the world of Zend. The first one is a new Code Gallery Spotlight that talks about using Java objects in PHP scripts (part one in the series). They give you all that you need to get things set up and working, including links to where you can download the JDK that you'll need to compile the Java functionality in. The test code that they give is really nothing more than a test to make sure that the Java functions are working and installed correctly, but it does help you get the idea...
Secondly, they have a "contest" link off of their page that leads to none other than the Codewalkers.com page that we mentioned earlier last week. The contest is different this week - this time it's a "word find" with all sorts of rules to follow for it's structure and number or words (etc.)
Over on the SitePoint WebmasterBase this morning, they have yet another "dos and donts" article about 6 Steps to a Stunning Site. Most of these things are pretty obvious (and note, we break the first one right off the bat), but you'd be surprised at how much they can improve the look and feel of your site. And, I have to admit - the phrase "moving peanut butter" is pretty accurate for those pages that just love animation...
And, lastly, a little bit of self-promotion here - if you haven't gotten a chance to check out our combined forums yet and are looking for some answers, please do. Since all three sites are pointing at the same ones, you have more and more of a chance to get your query heard....
