New this morning is the latest PHP Weekly Summary from Zend. There's a few interesting things in this one - including the introduction of streams support, a mention of the PHP Audit Project, and some more error handling for everyone's favorite function, mail().

I thought this was kind of cool and wanted to share it (although it's not PHP, it's kinda related) - One of the largest telecommunications providers in the world, Ericsson, is going to be using MySQL in the near future, possiblty even in some of their products. According to this article, they have purchased the rights to develop and resell a commercial product containing the open-source MySQL code. Yet another great step forward for everyone's favorite, speedy little database!

Also, I wanted to get you guy's opinion on something before I even worry about it - what would you think of a merger of PHPDeveloper.org with another site, possibly one like EvilWalrus or something similar. Do you like how things are now? Or do you wish there were more features? Comment below....
