DevArticles has a new piece posted this morning that talks about Executing SQL Server Stored Procedures With PHP. Now, I know there are those of you out there looking at me funny, saying "but MySQL doesn't so stored procedures.." - well, that's because he's using Microsoft SQL Server. And, for those out there that don't know: a stored procedure is a bunch of SQL queries grouped together that can be called kind-of like a function with input and output parameters. Stored procedures can return complete recordsets, just values, or both recordsets and values. It's not a bad little article, and it gives you all the step you'd need to take to get this thing off the ground (configuration, sample code, etc).
Well, it looks like the NewbieNetwork is looking for some input around there...Okay, while I work on everything that I am working on, I want to know what you want
More specifically, what tutorials are you looking for, what areas do you feel need more coverage. In my quest for giving you the best of the best, I want to find out what that best is. =)
So, if you feel in the giving mood and want to contribute to the site or give him some ideas, leave a comment here and see what happens...One neat idea that he has was an "online PHP class" for people just starting out. I think it'd be kind of fun to do, and helpful for all those "what's print_r() mean?" people out there. Would you guys be interested in something like that? (Comment below)
Oh, and if anyone from the MySQL.com team is reading, a nameless dolphin is a silly thing....
[UPDATE:] For those interested, the PHP Documentation Meeting has finished, and notes and pictures have been posted.
