Over at EvilWalrus.com they've been having troubles of their own with the look and feel of their site....mainly with font tags and the sizes of their fonts being very hard to read (it was like that on my Powerbook at home too), but they've changed it and it seems to work better now. Also, be sure to check out the neat little box on the right hand side of their site that skins the site with various themes.
It seems we're all "rebuilding" our sites at the same time - them because of the unfortunate incidents that caused them to have to take the machines down, and us because it was just about time for a change. Even the NewbieNetwork is still working and developing his site, making changes all the time. It's good to see a good group of PHP-related sites that aren't going away anytime soon, and that have the support of the community behind them.
The O'Reilly Network has a new article this morning about Making the PostgreSQL and PHP Connection. It looks to be meant for the beginning crowd, with nothing too fancy shown here. They give some pretty good samples of code for those out there just learning and still needing to copy code and explore how it works. They give you a simple form that leads to an insert, complete with connections and echoing the results.
