For all those that have been with us for a while, you know that PHPHead has had some of the difficulties that all "homegrown" websites out there have (heck, we've even had them here). But, now - the interest has faded and the site hasn't been updated in a while - and the Official Death Notice has been posted. It's sad to see PHPhead go - they started about the same time we did. We wish the authors and the programmers the best of luck in their future endeavors...
Well, it's not really PHP-related, but it's still pretty interesting: The official Salt Lake 2002 olympics website uses Javascript to serve up a large portion of it's content, and could get into trouble (as the Sydney Games website did) for "inaccessibility to users with disabilities". They were sued for it - and the Salt Lake 2002 olympics website might follow the same fate. Thanks to evolt.org for the links and story.
For those that don't know, the new phpdev site is almost completed. I have two or three more tutorials to convert over and get working, as well as a few pages to ad yet - but it's almost completed. Also, some other good news - I discovered that I don't need the username/pass from NSI to get things rolling. All I need to do is submit a "transfer domain" to the current hosting I'm going to use. I believe that will get the desired effect. I'll keep you posted....
