DevShed on P3P, phpMyAdmin, and CodingClick
Jan 04, 2002 @ 14:47:39

Now, I've already played with this some, and there's some neat editors out there made to help you make these, but DevShed has an article that introduces P3P to the masses. For those confused, P3P is the new privacy idea from the W3C. It stands for "Platform for Privacy Preferences Project" and uses an XML-based document to provide the browser with "trusted information" about the site in a certain format. this article gives you a very nice overview of what all you need to make your very own P3P policy for your website.

Flaperman wrote in to tell us that the latest version of <A href=http://www.phpwizard.net/projects/phpMyAdmin/">phpMyAdmin 2.2.3-rc1 has been released. The most major change in all of it, he says is the new Cookie-auth and that a bug for String and Date fields in "Query By" has been fixed. Enjoy!

And, lastly, Peter McNulty wrote in to tell me that he had fixed the cookies article from yesterday's post, and it should be all there now. (Ironically, he found my site in his logs and didn't notice the problem until he came here to read it. heh!).
