Fantistico - LAMP application setup for idiots
February 24, 2006 @ 06:55:45

In Fantastico De Luxe.

Do you want to use PHP-based programs on a hosted Web server, but you don't want to go through the hassle of setting up MySQL, PHP, and Apache so that they're in perfect alignment to run your blog, CMS (content management system), or photo gallery? If that's you, you need to find a Web host that uses Netenberg's Fantastico De Luxe.

If it's a PHP-based, open-source Web application, chances are Fantastico can install it for you.

He notes that many web services offer the software, but quite a few of them are older versions and won't install the latest PHP apps very well. His "adventures" with an installation of Drupal was what led him to dicsover this product - and, in his words, "it was fantastic".
