The ThinkPHP blog has a new post today that mentions the economic journals becoming aware of LAMP in one of the largest PHP markets in the world - Germany.
General IT magazines like iX or c't had several articles about PHP in the past, even the Computerwoche had several news items/articles about PHP and MySQL.
It's very satisfying to see that now economic journals like the German Wirtschaftswoche notice the OpenSource LAMP stack and define it as a serious competitor to .NET, Java & Co.
PHP has been used in the business for years. In fact, we and many other companies provided business-critical solutions based on PHP (or LAMP) for several years now.
IT's wonderful to see that PHP (specifically in the context of LAMP) is gaining ground as a viable alternative to some of the other less-simplistic programming languages out there. Seems like all of the press that I've heard about LAMP/PHP has been positive. Sure there have been a few that have said it's "not quite ready" for the enterprise, but I think we're seeing more and more that developers and businesses are turning to LAMP-based solutions to get the job done - and loving every step of the way...
