Wez Furlong has this new post on his blog today about the addition of LOB support to the PDO libraries.

It's been a looong time coming, but it's finally here.

He gives several examples of how to use this new support, including:

• storing an image in a BLOB
• how to select it back out
• how to convert all objects to strings upon their retrieval

It's great to see the PDO library showing up so well, and with all of the hard work that Wez and others are putting in, I know it will become an invaluable asset to PHP in the future...
