As per This post on Ilia Alshanetsky's blog today, the latest Release Candidate of PHP 5.1.0 has been posted - RC4.

The fourth and final release candidate of PHP 5.1.0 is now available for testing. In the past two weeks a great deal of effort was put by a number of developers towards stabilization of the 5.1 branch with over 20 bug fixes made during this period alone.

Pending discovery of any critical issues such as crashes, security faults and regressions I intend to release 5.1 final no later then November 10th.
