One of the things that I always find most fascinating is how PHP manages to get into people's lives in a sometimes indirect and fortuitous way. It's truly a statement to PHP's flexibility that it seems to have gained so much support--not just among enthusiasts but in the enterprise as well--despite the fact that it has very little marketing power behind it, at least compared to many of the other technologies that it has managed to butt out and battle against for so many years.
