Christian Wenz has a tip today for anyone out there that might be having problems installing the Zend Studio software - and is getting this error: "Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported".

Got two reader mails this week from people who got this error when trying to install Zend Studio (they wanted to use the voucher in the Kompendium and to try before they buy): "Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported. Unable to load and prepare the installer in GUI mode."

After some mails back and forth, I believe now that this is a bug in ZeroG's InstallAnywhere. This error message appears when the Windows user name contains "strange" characters like ! or #.

Thankfully, it's an easy fix to get it installed - thanks to Christian for the info on the fix!
