DynamicWebPages.de has this announcement today about the release of the latest PHP Release Candidate - PHP 4.4.1 RC 1.

Derick Rethans has released the first Release Candidate for PHP version 4.4.1 for testing today. There are some bug fixes (see the Changelog) and is, baring any large "show stoppers", ready for final release by the end of the week. You can download this latest release from qa.php.net. Also, the latest Release Candidate for PHP 5.1 is posted there as well, and is set to be released next week...
