On his blog today, Sebastian Bergmann has this new note about the release of the English version of his PHPUnit Pocket Guide from O'Reilly.

The English Edition of my new book, the PHPUnit Pocket Guide (published by O'Reilly), is out. The German Edition, titled PHPUnit - kurz & gut, should be out in the next couple of weeks.

The book is free under the Creative Commons Attribution License, the HTML version -- which will serve as the official documentation of PHPUnit -- should be online by the time of EuroOSCON.

And, for those that haven't had experience with PHPUnit yet, here's a description:

PHPUnit is a family of PEAR packages (PHPUnit, PHPUnit2) that supports the development of object-oriented PHP applications using the concepts and methods of Extreme Programming, Test-Driven Development and Design-by-Contract Development by providing an elegant and robust framework for the creation, execution and analysis of Unit Tests.

That's a mouthful to just say that it's a Unit testing framework...
