Via php|architect today, there's a pointer to the latest PHP statistics over on Nexen.net.
Here are the statistics for the popularity of PHP for September 2005. To check out a certain domain, you can see here. There were 9.5 million servers tested in June and 5.5 million were kept for the statistics - some didn't have websites on them, some were inaccessbile, some were just parked domains - these stats were removed from the list.
As summarized in the php|architect post:
- PHP 4.4 is now 3rd largest version,
- PHP 4.3.10 and 11 are still dominating the market
- PHP 5.5 now reach 4%, steadily increasing , but still slow.
