SpikeSource to Support Mambo

According to this new post on PHP Magazine's site, the Mambo software has been added to the "stack" of applications that SpikeSource's resources will provide services/information for.

Mambo has been approved for inclusion in the SpikeSource Open Source component stack. Users are now able to tap into the resources of SpikeSource for information and automated installation tools for the Mambo Content Management System, according to a press release issued by the Mambo Foundation. It may be recalled that During the 2005 San Francisco LinuxWorld Expo, the CEO of Miro announced that he was forming a new non-profit organization called the Mambo Foundation.

SpikeSource is a testing and certification company that strives to promote interoperability and compatibility of Open Source software.

It's interesting that this comes after the major move that the developers made to break off from the Mambo Foundation. I wonder how many more people this kind of move will bring back to Mambo versus Joomla...
