On the Utah PHP Users Group website today, there's a book review of one of Prentice Hall's new offerings to the programming world - "Object-Oriented Software Construction".
Many of the other books that I used only cover the authors particular methods so I would sometimes encounter strong statements that conflicted with strong statements in other books without mentioning that this was not something that was generally agreed upon within the OOA/OOP community.
This is the most helpful book I found on Object Oriented Analysis/Object Oriented Programming (OOA/OOP) during the transition to OOA/OOP. One area that was particularly helpful was the discussion of different ideas of the different camps within the OOA/OOP community.
From reading the rest of the review, it seems he has only positive things to say about the book - including the type choices and layout of the code/descriptions. He relates it to the more playful "Head First" books from O'Reilly...
