Lukas Smith has posted his bit about the upcoming php|works conference and the talks that he's doing - including a brand new one on fast, portable SQL.
A bit more traditional will be my hands on PEAR tutorial. The idea is to make people fit to help themselves or to better reach out to the various ressources available in the PEAR world. To make this talk a bit more personal relevant I am encouraging attendees to send in requests for packages to discuss once again.
After having skipped a few recent conferences I will be back in action at this years php|works in toronto. It will be my first trip to canada but more importantly I will try my hand at a new flavor of talks. So far I have done several talks on database abstraction, but this time I am giving a talk on how to write proper fast, portable SQL.
The lineup just keeps getting better and better the more that I hear about it, and the new talk from Lucas seems a topic to few and far between at a PHP conference...
