metapundit has submitted a post over on his blog dealing with some of the criticism over the quality of the tutorials on DeveloperTutorials and some of his own opinions on them.

Today on his blog the metapundit notes that not only did a recent php tutorial get the singleton pattern wrong, but there seems to be some difficulty in properly implementing this pattern on a variety of sites in the PHP community.

He talks about more than just the DeveloperTutorials article - mentioning also an article on Zend that got the pattern wrong. He definitely has a point here, though - there have been complaints about several of the tutorials on DeveloperTutorials.com not being correct, and (apparently) not being changed when they are shown to be incorrect...
