Tobias Schlitt has a few thoughts posted on his weblog today about the spread of the "So called 'News on PHP6'" and the posting and use of the email from the internals list as more than just a brainstorming discussion.
I personallly do not concider it wise to spread out the issues currently discussed on the PHP internal development list to the public as some (mostly not really in PHP's development itself envolved people - as I am one, too) did in the past days. What currently happens is a brainstorming on what eventually could be possible for PHP version (maybe) 6.
I'm not sure I agree with him, but I do see his point - the internals list is a good forum for ideas (and some of those ideas are larger than others), but any information that's shared from that list I would see as preparation - thoughts/ideas of things that might be to come - not FUD or a muddying of the waters. Sure, that might confuse some users out there as to the real features that will be in PHP6, but I don't see the harm in sharing the post, especially if it's well documented as a post from a mailing list, not an official PHP page stating such things...
