On Marco Tabini's blog today, there's a new post having to do with the new BeebleX PHP search engine - "the day after"
Next on my list is a bit of research into new data sources, as well as making BeebleX the default search engine for php|architect. If you want to suggest improvements (including new blogs or job sites for inclusion in the index), or report any bugs, you can use our installation of Bugzilla, or discuss BeebleX in our forum on php|a.
I had some spare time today (odd as it was), so I took the time to address a few issues in BeebleX that had been either reported by our users or that had been… bugging me for a while. These include: Better numbering of the result sets, a complete list of all the blogs indexed in BeebleX, a complete list of all the job websites indexed by BeebleX, and Several bug fixes and new website added to the index.
Personally, I think that something like this has been a long time coming in the community - we've needed a good aggregated source for the community to use to get data from all across the internet. There has been Phuse for a while now, but that only searched our network of sites - I think BeebleX show quite a bit more promise at brining more of the PHP-related internet right to our doorsteps...
