DynamicWebPages.de has a new post today with information about a new book for those out there looking to get into PEAR with PHP - PHP PEAR - Documentation and Development.

If you've been using PEAR for any length of time, you'll have noticed that it's just not as well documented as it could be. The author of this book does his best to correct that situation by providing information about some of the packages as well as install help for getting you started. The book discusses 99 PEAR and 11 PECL packages - the author had to limit the number of packages he described (obviously), so, unfortunately, the package you want might not be described.

The writing style is loose, but filled with solid detail, and can be used as both a reference book and a casual read. There is also a forum that accompanies the book over at http://www.pear-center.de to allow the readers a good resource to help themselves and each other. The price on this book is approx. 39,90 Euro.

Sounds like great title for any of our German-speaking audience to pick up - especially if you're looking at PEAR for possible solutions to your problems (and with it growing more and more all the time, who wouldn't?)
