Tobias Schlitt has this new post today with two tools that a fellow employee of his has developed: 3d-lib and k.Bot 3.0.

By moving to Dortmund and joining the local PHP user group here, I got to know Kore Nordmann, who is also working for eZ systems right now. Kore has developed some (sometimes useless but) really cool tools in PHP, which I would like to promote a little bit to the public:

• 3d-lib - a library that extends the GD libraries and allows them to generate 3D graphics
• k.Bot 3.0 - k.Bot is an IRC bot written in PHP with a modular API (with modules like Google searches, loking up PHP syntax, and getting a forecast).

  I might agree with the somewhat useless part of the scond one, but this 3D library does have potential to be useful. Now, I haven't gotten a chance to look at the code for it yet, so I can't sing its praises just yet - but it does show promise...
