Aaron Wormus' Blog:
ACT! COM and PHP
May 25, 2005 @ 11:38:20

From Wormus.com today (Aaron Wormus' weblog), there's this new post</a. about his experiences with the ACT! Contact Management Software and his plans to integrate several sites with it via PHP.

I've just got my copy of ACT! 2005 Premium for Workgroups, which looks a WHOLE lot better than ACT 6, which honesty isn't very hard. With the "remium for Workgroups" version comes a copy of Microsoft SQL Server, which I've actually been wanting to test a couple of PHP apps on. I'm downloading the ACT! SDK, hopefully it won't be too painful to whip up a couple of PHP scripts which will interact with it using COM or a Webservice, I'll be clearer once I finish digging through the SDK.

The idea here is to use the ACT! storage as the central repository for all things customer data. And he's looking for anyone out there with any kind of experience in the matter (or projects that might do this already). ACT! seems like quite powerful/popular software, so something like this might be quite useful for several people, not just Aaron...
