Chris Shiflett's Blog:
PHP Track at OSCON 2005
May 23, 2005 @ 17:20:02

Chris Shiflett has a new posting over on his blog today about the upcoming O'Reilly Open Source Convention 2005 and some of the PHP goodness that will be there:

The selections have been made for the O'Reilly Open Source Convention 2005 (US), and there are many great PHP talks to choose from. This was only my second year on the selection committee, but I think this had to be one of the toughest years. There were 600 proposals for 150 slots, and the PHP track seemed particularly strong.

Some of the tutorials that made the cut include: Laying Hands on PHP Objects (Marcus Boerger), Learning PHP5 (David Sklar), PHP Security (from Chris), and PHP/MySQL Best Practices (Luke Welling and Laura Thomson.

The PHP Sessions list is a bit longer, thankfully, with a few of them being: Accelerating PHP Applications, Building Liquid Web Applications with Remote Scripting (Terry Chay), Easy eBay Web Services with PHP 5 and Services_Ebay (Adam Trachtenberg), and PHP and Unicode: A Love At Fifth Sight Andrei Zmievski).

The conference will be held in Postland, Oregon this year at the Oregon Convention Center August 1st-5th. For all of the details and registration information, see thier conference site and get in today!
